Dr Diyang Qu
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Essex and received MSc in Development, Disorder, and Clinical Practice from the University of York. Prior to joining YMH lab, I studied at the City University of Hong Kong for my Ph.D. in Psychology, focusing on multisystem protective factors and positive adjustment among Chinese migrant dyads. I also received training in evidence-based treatments for mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
My research interests include investigating the multisystem protective/promoting factors in high-risk populations (e.g., adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury behaviors, individuals with mood disorders) and developing effective interventions to promote their resilient adaptation.
